Airplane lets you transform scripts, APIs, and SQL queries into apps for your team in minutes. If you have feature requests you'd like to see in future changelogs, reply and let us know!
Since our last changelog, we've rolled out universal search, added notifications to the Inbox, and rolled out faster task execution.
Notification Inbox
The new Airplane Inbox is not just for requests anymore! See all of your Airplane notifications in one place, including run and session failures.
Universal search
Universal search is here! Press command/ctrl + K or click Search in the sidebar to try the brand new search bar! You can create new tasks, navigate to pages, search for docs, execute tasks, and much more from a single place.
Faster task execution
We’ve silently rolled out new generation of Airplane-hosted agents! This uses a brand new, backwards-compatible architecture optimized for faster start times; we’ve observed task-start latencies drop by as much as 90%. If you’re using self-hosted agents, we recommend you update to the latest Terraform / Cloudformation / Helm template to pull in the new changes.
Improvements and fixes
- Notification preferences. The highly-requested notification preferences are live! You can now tell Airplane how you want to receive notifications, whether via email or by Slack, on a per-event basis. These settings are found under your User profile.
- Python 3.10. We’ve updated the runtime for Python tasks to 3.10. Tasks will pick up this version of Python the next time they are deployed.
