Airplane lets you transform scripts, APIs, and SQL queries into apps for your team in minutes. If you have feature requests you'd like to see in future changelogs, reply and let us know!

This week we rolled out the ability to execute sub-tasks with our Node SDK, made it easier to rerun entire sessions, and released a new Learn page.

Execute sub-tasks with the Node SDK (beta)

You can now programmatically execute sub-tasks using our Node SDK to compose tasks, fan-out work, and build conditional workflows. Check out our Node SDK docs to get started.

Rerun entire sessions

It's now easier to fully rerun runbook sessions. You can rerun a block and the "Rerun from here" feature allows you to rerun a block and all of its dependencies.

Learn page

Check out the new Learn page to discover how to make the most out of Airplane. We built out a new onboarding flow and now include two new sections on the page: Quick start and Use cases

Improvements and fixes

  • Environments public beta. Environments are now available in public beta to all Airplane users! Feel free to try it out and let us know what you think.
  • Format SQL button. Airplane's SQL editor can now automatically format your queries with a single click.
  • Warn on outdated CLI version. The Airplane CLI now warns you if you're running on an old version. 😊
  • Session metadata. We now show more details about sessions, matching the runs UX.
