This week we released a MongoDB database resource, added a team developer role, and rolled out onboarding support. If you have feature requests you'd like to see in future changelogs, let us know at [email protected].
MongoDB resource
You can now connect Airplane tasks and runbooks to MongoDB databases. To create a new MongoDB resource, visit resources for your team, click the "New" button, and select "MongoDB". You can read more on how to get set up in the MongoDB section of our resources docs. For a high-level introduction to resources, see the resources page.
Team developer role
Earlier this week, we introduced a new team role called team developer. The team developer role is meant for engineers who are developing tasks and runbooks and gives them full access to tasks, runs, runbooks, and sessions. More on team roles in our docs.
In-app onboarding and quickstart guide
In-app onboarding is officially live and we also published a quickstart guide that walks through how to build tasks and layer on blocks to create multi-step runbooks. The next time you need to onboard a teammate, you can direct them to the onboarding tab in Airplane for self-guided instructions.
If you're looking to get started with runbooks or introduce them to your team, our quickstart guide walks through how to build a simple workflow in under 15 minutes.
Happy Holidays from the Airplane team - thanks for an amazing year!
